14 January, 2011 | David Adams | Comments

In this latest installment in David Adams’ Mystery of the Oxus series, we see David use the new Nikon D7000 to capture the live action of the Kurash.

The Kurash is a type of upright wrestling originally from Uzbekistan. The ancient art of hand-to-hand combat was used by, and against, Alexander the Great in a war which lasted almost two years. Watch the video to see how this martial art, said to be over 3,500 years old, is still practiced today in Uzbekistan.

Stay tuned for the next installment as David moves from Central Asia with the Nikon D7000.
